Yesterday I met Liz and Brian at Elm Bank which is part of Mass Horticultural Society. Liz suggested the location not only because of the scenery but because her mother is a member who spends a lot of time in working in the herb gardens there. Liz knows all the history behind the center and it's always nice to know the stories behind places like the The Manor House that was once a boy's school, or the gigantic goddess statues that were placed in their barren setting and stuck out like a couple of sore thumbs until the greenery could grow around them. It also seemed really fitting because Liz and Brian are both theater aficionados and there were a lot of places in the garden that felt like they could be on a set somewhere. They seemed most at home climbing up the big tree house in the children's garden which ended up being some of the best shots!
I couldn't resist a taking a couple of shots of this gorgeous petrified trees also in the children's garden.
I love to hear your thoughts! What did you think of this post?
