Caitlin & Brendan's Engngement Shoot

Today I took a drive to the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain with Caitlin and Brendan. It was so beautiful and can't believe it was my first time there after all my years of living in Boston! With Caitlin busy finishing up her Adolescent Psychology fellowship and Brendan working as a Special Education teacher and preparing to go back to grad school, they haven't had much time for recreational activities like going to Red Sox games. Did I just mention the the Red Sox? That's so funny because Brendan proposed to Caitlin at the 2007 World Series against the Colorado Rockies! It has to be good luck when you propose the year the Sox win the World Championship trophy!

We stopped for a drink by this tree with these amazing tulip like flowers.

They were such good sports and trekked a little ways into the wilderness with me.

Crystale & Adam

Yesterday we photographed Crystale & Adam's wedding in Rockport, MA. Crystale and Adam are both beach lovers and chose a church and reception site with ocean views. They also found a beautiful location for formals in Rockport right on the water which turned out to be private property. But as I always say, brides are determined and when Crystal found her perfect location she contacted the home owner directly (via knocking on the door) and asked if they would mind sharing their beautiful views for her wedding. As you can see they said yes and it just goes to show that it never hurts to ask!

Chris took all of these great shots of the guys getting ready.

A little last minute speech writing by the best man.

I love this shot of their introduction.

International Award Winning Photographer

Today the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA announced the results of the Q1 2009 contest and I'm so thrilled that one of my images placed in the contest!!!

The [AG]WPJA is an amazing group of international photographers who specialize in Fine Art Wedding Photojournalism. They maintain the highest standards for their members who are carefully evaluated prior to acceptance, as well annually before membership can be renewed. I'm so honored to have been selected along with some of the best photographers in the world.

The photo is really special to me because not only did Kerry & Andy have an amazing wedding, but they were married on April 19th which is my anniversary too!

Melissa & Nate's E-Shoot

From the moment I clicked the shutter and took the first picture of Melissa & Nate, it became so apparent that absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Melissa and Nate have had a long distance relationship for over 4 years and in a few weeks they will be together at last! They stood by the water holding hands, laughing and fully engaged in one another knowing every moment was important.

We had a great time walking around Boston Public Garden and since it was my first time meeting Nate in person, it was nice to get to know each other a little better before the wedding. He's currently living in upstate New York and both he and Melissa travel hours and hours to see each other at least one or two times a month. The sacrifices we make for love :) Their wedding will be next month at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston and they are planning on having a few unique elements to their ceremony and reception, which will be revealed in their upcoming wedding post!

We found these great frames just hanging from a few different trees right at the entrance to the park. They couldn't have been more perfect!

This little girl playfully hopped in between us and I quickly snapped this shot. I couldn't resist posting it!

We all loved these flowers. If anyone knows what they are called please let me know because they are awesome!

Studio Coe!!

I'm really excited to share some photos of my new studio space! I had been looking for a while to find the perfect space but never found anything quite right so I decided to take a break from looking. Then I found this great building two blocks from my house right in downtown Danvers and it's also right above a great coffee shop!!! I still have some hanging to do and canvases to order but that's okay because I don't have to fight for a table at Starbucks anymore!!!
