Liz and Brian both come from theater backgrounds and Saturday Elizabeth, the Elizabethan Bride, married Brian the Sailor/Pirate who had his ship docked outside the reception.
Brian plans elaborate weddings for a living and although this wasn't a 300 person wedding in the middle of Fenway Park, it was full of all of the well thought out details that made it really special and unique. When I met with them a few months ago, Liz told me that her mother was making her dress and the bridesmaid dresses by hand, which I thought was so meaningful. Liz also made all of her jewelry and accessories, except for her veil which was her grandmothers. They also cut the cake with a family sword that dates back to the American revolution. This was truly a wonderful wedding!
I know there's more than one ring picture, but I just couldn't decide!
